World’s Progress on Quality Education

  Over the past decade, major progress was made to increase access to education and enrolments rate at all levels, especially for girls. the 2021 progress report shows the progress and achievements of education in the year of 2021, it also shows that countries have made progress in learning, access and equity keeping in mind the global Covid-19 pandemic ,as it spread across the globe schools were temporarily closed affecting more than 91% of students. ( Global Partnership for Education, 2022).   Examples of 2021 education progress: More children are learning  , the capacity of countries to conduct quality learning assessments improved ,almost half of partner countries had quality learning assessment systems. More children have access to trained teachers  , 39% of countries have fewer than 40 primary students per trained teacher, which was 25% in 2015.   What is the quality education goal? (ec.europa.eu. n.d.). This goal assures that all girls and boys complete free primary and secondary school by 2030. It also aspires to give equitable access to cheap vocational training and to reduce gender and income inequality in order to achieve universal access to quality higher education.
